Comedian Rocky LaPorte’s appeal comes from his everyman, blue-collar, street-wise style of comedy. Delivering laughs in his trademark Brooklyn accent, he has become one of the most sought after comedians in the country. His appearance on the 2014 season of Last Comic Standing found him to be an audience favorite, garnering him a coveted spot as one of the Top 5 finalists and member of the show’s U.S. comedy tour. A former Chicago truck driver and dock worker, Rocky has accumulated a slew of performances throughout his career including being a featured comic on Showtime’s The Godfathers of Comedy, a special starring five of America’s most hilarious Italian-American comics, along with Patriot Act: A Jeffrey Ross Home Movie, another Showtime special for which Rocky traveled to Iraq with Drew Carey to entertain the troops. He has also filmed his own Comedy Central Presents special, was voted Comedy Central’s second most popular comedian in a nationwide poll, has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and appeared on A&E’s Evening At The Improv, VH-1’s Stand-Up Spotlight, the sitcom Cheers, and his own NBC pilot called the Rocky LaPorte Show. On the big screen, Rocky has appeared in two movies with Tim Allen: Crazy on the Outside and Shaggy Dog.
